Eco Friendly Garden Buildings From The Qube

Eco friendly garden buildings have really come of age, as people strive for a more eco friendly lifestyle whilst still attaining that smart, modern, contemporary Grand Design look for their planned garden room.

The last couple of years have seen an even greater awareness and concern over Global Warming. We are constantly and rightly so, reminded about buying more eco-friendly appliances to help reduce our own personal carbon footprint. You can buy fridges and freezers with much greater insulation qualities and washing machines that operate on lower power consumption by washing at lower temperatures. In-fact, outside of the obvious big carbon producers like transportation and industry, domestic homes also play, a major role in the carbon producing emissions that harm our planet. To focus on this point the G8 recently enforced a further round of carbon reduction targets that all the major developed nations signed up-to, in trying to improve heat insulation in our homes.

As a major part of the construction of the Qube garden room, the walls, floor and roof are all constructed using the incredible heat insulation properties of the Sips Panel, the Qube is considered to be one of the most eco-friendly garden room structures available, meeting all current building regulations for heat insulation.

The Sips panel construction not only provides the Qube garden room with a more than impressive heat and sound insulation, it also reduces the construction time to just days instead of weeks or even months in comparison to a conventional building project, thus using less vehicle movements and fuel, for moving both construction staff and materials to site.

The Sips panels are produced locally here in the UK, so there is no need to import this technology causing more harm to the environment. All Qube garden rooms feature double-glazed Bi-fold doors and windows, again produced here in the UK using the latest European technology with high performance, heat saving energy glass to attain the very best heat retention statistics, vitally important to reduce heat loss through the glazing.

The life expectancy of the Qube is well in excess of 30 years and it comes with a comprehensive 5year guarantee that can be extended to a 10year guarantee via a respected UK insurance backed warranty, at a reasonable extra charge.

The ultimate Eco Friendly garden room can include no power consumption roof ventilation systems, light tubes which draw down natural light, roof domes, sky lights to remove any heat build-up, solar glass or an in glass blinds system to reduce heat build-up and fully retractable double glazed bi-fold doors and windows to take as much natural control of the room temperature as possible.

With a fully independent low energy heating system, you will only need to heat the very heat efficient Qube garden room, very marginally.

The Qube is a developing product. Our research and design team are always on the lookout for new innovative, eco friendly materials that will enhance the Qube’s performance and capabilities. We are sourcing the vast majority of our construction materials from the UK, so as to limit the damage or impact our products have on the environment. Indeed, if you have any suggestions to make to our research and design department regarding products that would in your opinion enhance the eco friendly nature of the Qube garden room, please feel free to bring those items to our attention @ info@theqube.co.uk

Thinking of an buying an eco friendly garden room, then you better take a closer look at the highly efficient, eco friendly Qube garden room.

The Qube is a unique, fully functioning, efficient lifestyle space with an accent on smart design and an eco friendly sensitivity.

* Further information and technical statistics for Sips Panels... Structural Insulated Panels.

Structural insulated panels are environmentally friendly -- by means of its components and the way in which it is manufactured.

OSB (oriented strand boards) make up the inner and outer faces of the panel. The timber used to produce OSB is from fast growing trees in managed forests accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). OSB timber production uses 80% less energy to produce than concrete.

OSB is 15 times better than concrete as an insulator, and 400 times better than steel. A 25mm OSB board has better insulation values than a 114mm brick wall.

Polyurethane foam (PU) forms the inner core and insulation for the panels, which is CFC and HCFC free and has an ozone depletion of zero.

Structural insulated panels provide extremely high thermal performance with U values as low as 0.15W/msq K.

Construction with SIPs is draught free and has minimal cold bridging. This keeps properties warm in the winter and cool in the summer coupled together with energy costs reduced by up to 60%.

Structural insulated panels are produced using OSB board and polyurethane core, which can both be recycled.
