About Us

At The Qube we’re experts at creating bespoke modular buildings to fit any space

Inspired by the simple efficiency of a cube, our buildings’ attractive clean lines define modular thinking at its finest. Like children's building blocks, The Qube gives you the freedom to build to suit your needs - from a small single classroom to a whole teaching block, we can build to virtually any size.

Combined with our full design and build packages we offer a complete hassle-free fast track way to create offices, classrooms, gyms, changing rooms, meeting rooms and much more.

  • Fully equipped buildings
  • Huge range of customised options and finishes
  • Initial design to full installation, in as little as 8 weeks subject to site survey and planning

The end result is a modern space that works in tune with you. And what’s more, compared to conventional buildings you benefit from a higher spec at a lower cost.

Mick Spittle

Managing Director

Mick founded the Qube in 2007 after successfully setting up and managing a number of start-up businesses from 1990 - 2006. The Qube was formed when he noticed a gap in the market for luxury garden studios in and around the London area. Pioneers of this industry, Mick then moved into commercial work and now 95% of the Qube’s turnover is within the public sector.

Green Thinking

We think, plan and build with the environment in mind. It’s an integral part of our building design and construction – inside and out.

For energy efficiency we construct our buildings from UK-sourced Structural Insulated Panels to reduce their carbon footprint. SIPs offer many benefits for the environment:

  • fewer trees from mature forests needs to be harvested
  • The outer OSB skins are instead made from engineered wood that is manufactured from renewable, fast growing trees
  • SIPs offer superior insulation qualities
  • Heating and electricity bills are reduced and as a result fewer fossil fuels need to be burned

Meanwhile outside we offer sustainable western red cedar cladding, which naturally secretes its own weatherproof resin, thereby avoiding the need for chemical preservatives.

Glazing is designed to be heat retaining and energy-saving.

On the roof there’s the choice of eco-friendly single ply membrane (EPDM) or living sedum and the eco-smart features don’t end there. Solutions for harvesting rainwater, capturing daylight with the aid of reflective tubes, and generating renewable solar and wind-powered energy are also available.

The Qube Assembled range is re-locatable, so our solutions avoid the unnecessary use of natural resources, resulting manufacturing processes and landfill wastage.
